The NOC III engineer will bridge the gap between our current Managed Service Team and Field Engineering Teams.  This role will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and servicing of customer networking and server environments.    The goal of this role is to improve our time to response for critical customer issues and create a more complete managed services offerings for our mid-size and enterprise client base


Essential Functions

  • Work as a member of the HBS Managed Services team being a leader and contributor that provides consultative and proactive support to HBS’s account base.
 
  • Work closely with the Enterprise and SMB engineering teams to understand client design requirements and ensure systems and networking maintenance aligns with HBS best practices.
 
  • Research new products for selection, enhance configuration standards and best practices and educate team members on these products and services to enhance the sales process.
 
  • Provide senior level support, maintenance, and administration for customer networks and review for other potential concerns or enhancement opportunities.
 
  • Work in and always model a positive team atmosphere between regional and virtual practices while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
 
  • Maintain customer documentation for ongoing changes.
 
  • Create and maintain current vendor/industry specific certifications and stay current on new products and solutions by utilizing networks of resources.
 
  • Provision and optimize HBS’s monitoring and ticketing solutions to best support our clients and HBS engineer teams.
 
  • Provide a quality customer experience as measured by our customer satisfaction survey tools.
 
  • Provide direct technical support to customers through email, phone calls, and ticketing system.
 
  • Participate in an on call after hour’s rotation.
 
  • Attend and participate in bi-weekly managed services meetings as well as customer meetings.

Skills & Abilities

Required Experience:
  • 3+ years in a technical related field  
Preferred Experience:
  • 3-5 years in a technical related field  
  • 3+ years’ experience working as a consultant  
 
Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certifications
  • CCNA, MCSA
  • Experienced in configuring and supporting Microsoft on premises and cloud infrastructure        products.
  • Supporting Cisco, HPE, Palo Alto networking.
  • VMware vSphere best practices.
 
 
Preferred Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:
  • At least two or more Professional level certifications
  • CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCSE, PCNSE, PCNSA
  • Installing and supporting Cisco, HPE, or Dell servers and storage
  • Data Center / Core configuration, and implementation utilizing Cisco Nexus Architecture (9K, 7K, 6K, 5K, 3K, 2K, 1000V).
  • Ticket system and NOC software experience.
