The Microsoft Partnership Coordinator is responsible driving top line service and software revenue by understanding relevant Microsoft licensing models (for Education and Government) to support technical presales and sales roles in recommending the path to migrate to Cloud Solution Provider (CSP).  
 


Essential Functions

  • Maintain an extensive level of understanding on all Microsoft licensing models applicable to Education and Government clients and prospects.
  • Drive profitability by partnering with sales to provide recommendations on how to maximize Microsoft’s partner programs specifically for HBS customers in the Education and Government sector. 
  • Engage and educate the Sales teams regarding licensing programs and eligible funding opportunities to help drive revenue in the Education and Government sector.
  • Maintain an understanding of ready-to-use marketing materials supplied by Microsoft and help execute digital campaigns in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Monitor existing customer license utilization to drive service opportunities.
  • Participate in all Microsoft-hosted events relating to partner programs and licensing, to share knowledge and make recommendations to management.
  • Assist sales with the procurement of Microsoft-related licensing by obtaining pricing and cost, communicating with Sales, and ensure timely ordering for Edu and Gov
  • Optimize presales process through creating library of reusable presales assets (i.e. sales slicks, customer testimonials, case studies).
  • Work closely with Microsoft Partnership Manager and VP of Application Services to assist our growth strategy with Microsoft.
  • Understand the Microsoft Account Executive organization chart to identify strategic sell-with opportunities.
  • Support and back-fill the Microsoft Partnership Coordinator - Commercial position as needed.

Skills & Abilities

Required Experience:
  • 2-5 years of experience working with Microsoft price lists (EA, Open, OVS-ES, CSP)
  • 2-5 years of experience working with Microsoft Licensing programs / agreements / products
  • Bachelor’s degree in business (preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience working with Microsoft productivity tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel; working knowledge of Excel formulas and charting
Preferred Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience working with Microsoft licensing programs and agreements
  • 2-3 years of experience in insides sales or sales support related to Microsoft products
  • 1-2 years of experience communicating directly with clients, independently or alongside other teammates
  • 3-5 years of experience in the IT professional services industry
  • Completion of the “Licensing Fundamentals” exams via Microsoft Get Licensing Ready program
