Dynamics GP Update: April 2026

If you run Dynamics GP, several updates require your attention before they create problems. The four areas that matter most right now: NACHA rule changes affecting electronic payments, payroll tax updates across multiple states, a Management Reporter issue tied to a Microsoft Edge update, and migration options if you’re thinking about moving to Business Central.
NACHA Rule Changes Are Coming. Check With Your Bank.
Banks across the country are rolling out new formatting requirements for electronic fund transfers in 2026. These NACHA rule changes affect ACH transactions for payables, receivables, and direct deposit payroll.
Your bank may not have made the switch yet. But when they do, GP needs to be ready to generate files in the new format. If your bank has already requested the updated format, or notifies you that it will, contact the HBS Microsoft Dynamics Helpdesk at [email protected] before issues arise.
Payroll Tax Updates: Did Your State Get One?
There have been three rounds of payroll tax table updates since December 2025. If your state is on the list and you haven’t applied the update, you can still do so.
Round 1 (released December 2025): California, Colorado, Hawaii, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Yonkers.
Round 2 (released January 2026): Arkansas, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, North Carolina, and Vermont.
Round 3 (released February 2026): Maryland.

Management Reporter Web Viewer: Microsoft Edge Broke Something
A recent Microsoft Edge update removed functionality from the Management Reporter Web Viewer. If you’ve noticed missing options or features, this is why.
Two paths forward: switch to the Report Viewer program that installs alongside Report Designer, or follow specific steps to restore Web Viewer functionality. If you need guidance on either option, the HBS Helpdesk team can walk you through it. Email [email protected].
